Yves Rocher Pure Light Foundation Cushion Review

Lately I have been seeing a lot of brands launch a new type of foundation, and Yves Rocher has jumped on the bandwagon too. The new Pure Light Cushion Foundation promises to give lightweight coverage that smooths and softens imperfections while providing fresh, natural coverage. Sounds good, but let's see if it's really as good as they describe!

Yves Rocher Light Foundation Cushion comes housed in a pretty white compact that features a dual lid compartment. Opening the first lid will reveal a mirror and a rubber sponge, while the second lid opens to reveal the foundation cushion. In the packaging the Pure Light Foundation Cushion seems a bit dark, but when swatching it you will see that this is thankfully not the case.

The finish is matte but not dry since there are moisturizing ingredients in the Pure Light Foundation Cushion - something I certainly noticed when I used the product. What I love most about this product is how amazing it is at covering up pores and I was super impressed by it. However, I suffer from acne and the Pure Light Foundation Cushion did not cover up my acne the way I would want it to. It is nice that the foundation is buildable, but it would be easier to use a foundation that covers it all up with just a small amount of product.

Overall it is a nice product, but like I said for me personally this isn't ''the'' perfect foundation. I did however really love how amazing it is at covering up pores so I am going to try using a mixture of this foundation and one that covers up more (using the Pure Light Foundation Cushion to the areas where I have pores while applying the other foundation to the rest of my face). All in all, definitely something worth to give a shot!

Yves Rocher Light Foundation Cushion (€29,90) has launched this month and is available in six different colors. Edit 17-3: At the moment the foundation is sold for 50% off, and if you have a Yves Rocher customer card you can always buy it for 50% less.
