Makeup Eraser Review

How can a piece of cloth remove makeup with just water, right? My exact same thoughts when I first opened the parcel and read what the Makeup Eraser does. Ofcourse I needed to see how this works immediately! Are you curious too? Then keep on reading..

"The Makeup Eraser is an all natural method of your removing makeup. No harsh chemicals needed, just wet the cloth with water and all your makeup is removed. Including waterproof eyeliner & mascara, HD makeup and much more. The best part of the Makeup Eraser is it is reusable, throw it in the wash and no stains remain. The Makeup Eraser will last 1000 washes and eliminate your need to buy product to remove your makeup.  The Makeup Eraser is pink with a sateen edge plush  and soft to the touch. Treat yourself to a spa at home everyday, while saving money!"

So far, so good! I like the idea of being more environmentally friendly. The cloth is bright pink in color (love!), feels super soft (think baby blanket soft), and the size is perfect to hold and store. Each side of the MUE has a different texture and purpose: the side with the tag is to use as an exfoliator, and the other side to remove your makeup.

The cloth needs to be soaked in warm water so that it activates and expands. After you've done that and squeezed out the excess water, you gently rub your skin with the cloth in small circular motions to start removing your makeup. It does require some effort and I did have to go over the same areas repeatedly to remove all my makeup, but I was impressed. Especially because everything came off without making my skin red or painful. The cloth could not fully remove my lash glue but even with my usual makeup remover I have to use my fingers to pick off some of the glue. I have used the cloth with warm, cool and room temperature water and they all gave the same result.

Overall the Makeup Eraser works amazingly and removes your makeup just like a normal makeup remover would. The way I am going to use the MUE is by first using the cloth to gently remove most of my makeup, and after that I'l wash my face with a face wash just make sure that there are no bacteria left on my skin.

The Makeup Eraser retails for USD$19.97/€19.95 (excluding shipping) which in my opinion is quite reasonable. The cost of wipes, removers, and cleansing oils can really add up. And bloggers, think of all those swatches we make to test makeup. Now you can just dip your MUE in water, squeeze it, wipe off your makeup and done! Isn't it strange how no one thought of doing this before? I'm looking forward to getting my 1000 of uses out of the Makeup Eraser!

Have you every tried the Makeup Eraser yourself?
